rosen bodywork with somatic experiencing

be held and discover yourself

The Rosen Method, informed by Somatic Experiencing, combines gentle touch, attuned words, and deep listening to make a space of safety in which you can experience yourself in ways you never have before.

This work is helpful if you feel stuck, and wish to shed old patterns and habits.  It supports you if you have a history of trauma and wish to live more fully in your body with ease and enhanced vitality. It speaks to those who long to experience healthy touch and safe boundaries.

Over time, ongoing sessions can help you to break free of limiting patterns, and support a grounded sense of self awareness and self confidence.  It helps to support increased honesty and joy in relationships with yourself and others, and physically it often leads to less pain and more flexibility.  Ongoing clients often discover the courage to face fears and the skill to make more fulfilling choices in life, career and love.

By contacting places of muscle tension and restricted breathing in the client's body, with hands that listen rather than manipulate, the practitioner invites unconscious emotions and memories to emerge.  This process leads to the release of old patterns and habitual tension, freeing the client to experience more aliveness, new choices in life, and a greater sense of well-being

It is a powerful means of self-discovery for people seeking insight into their patterns of emotional and physical holding, so that they feel empowered to reclaim their physical, spiritual and emotional health.

The Rosen Method with Somatic Experiencing invites you to lean into what scares you, what was once overwhelming and that you did not have the capacity to navigate, but now within a safe and strong container. This journey unravels the tight hold of old survival mechanisms, and allows you to build a new sense of self that is grounded in an embodied sense of the present moment.

  • "Radical presence and attention. I feel grounded in my body but it's also a little like hypnosis, in that things come out of my mouth that I know are true, but which I didn't expect to say. I feel completely supported and respected. I don't feel like I need to hide myself."
